The instructions below will guide you through the process of installing the USB drivers for your phone. Although the process appears long on first inspection, it shouldn't in fact take more than two minutes.

Before you can use any function of the service, you must install all the Motorola drivers.

Please download the USB Drivers from:

http://www.unlockitnow.com/downloads/P2kDrivers.zip

and then unzip the zip file to "c:\P2kDrivers"

Note: If you have PST or Motorola Mobile Phone Tools installed on your computer we suggest to uninstall the applications to prevent any USB driver conflict (You can can re-install them after unlocking your phone). 

Plug your USB data cable into your phone and USB port of your computer (Please DO NOT use any external USB hubs).

Switch the phone on.

Windows should detect your phone as new hardware.

1. Windows should now launch your wizard saying "Found New Hardware - USB Device"

2. The "Found New Hardware Wizard" is launched. Choose "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Click "Next"

3. Click "Include this location in the search" box. Click the "Browse" button.

4. Browse to the folder where you have extracted the P2KDrivers.zip file i.e. "c:\P2kDrivers". Select this folder and press the "OK" button.

5. Click "Next"

6. You may or may not get the next few messages. If you do not, then you can skip the next few steps. If you do get the above message, click "OK"

7. Click the "Browse" button.

 

8. Once again browse to the folder where you have extracted the P2KDrivers.zip file i.e. "c:\P2kDrivers".

9. Highlight "p2k" file and click Open.

10. Click "OK" if you receive any more such messages.

11. Click "Finish" and you're done.

Note: If Windows detects your phone as a Motorola USB Modem that is also OK.

After doing the above, please reboot your computer, then plug the phone in and switch on again. If Windows does not find any more drivers they should be installed correctly. You can now proceed with the unlocking procedure.

B. How to check if your phone can be unlocked
 

This procedure is FREE of charge.

Note: You can skip this step if you have already performed this step before placing the order.

Download the Motorola Unlock Client software from:
http://www.unlockitnow.com/downloads/motophoenix.zip

and unzip it to your computer's hard disk such as to "C:\UnlockItNow\"

1. Launch the file named "UnlockItNow" to start the application.

2. Enter the username "test" and password "test" and click on "Connect". Then please wait till the software loads up completely.

Tip: If you receive a notification from Windows Firewall (or any other software firewall application), click "unblock" to allow the software to connect to the server. After a short delay, your computer should connect to the unlock server.

3. Now choose your phone model and select "Check Unlock Possibility" as shown below and then click on "Start".

4. If the software reports that your phone can be unlocked you can proceed with unlocking your phone and the unlock is guaranteed to work 100%!

C. Unlocking Procedure

This procedure will require you a specific username and password to be able to unlock your phone. You can buy a login account by clicking here.

If you have not yet downloaded the Motorola Unlock Client software please download it from:
http://www.unlockitnow.com/downloads/motophoenix.zip

and unzip it to your computer's hard disk such as to "C:\UnlockItNow\"

1. Launch the file named "UnlockItNow" to start the application. PS: If you already have it opened please close the application and open it again.

2. Enter the username and password you were provided in the email following your purchase. Then please wait till the software loads up completely.

Tip: If you still did not receive the username and password you can check your order status by clicking here.

3. Now choose your phone model and select "Unlock Direct (1.00 cr.)" as shown below and then click on "Start".

4. The unlock software will then communicate with your phone and unlock it in few seconds.
